L3 is a service line of the Jerusalem Light Rail network, running between Malha (Manahat) and HaTurim. It opened on August 21, 2026, and is planned to eventually extend north to Mount Scopus via the L1 (Red Line) tracks.Although L3 was built as part of the Green Line, the current convention favors numbers over color names (e.g. Red or Green Line). Its yellow color code was chosen partly because yellow sits between green and red on the colour wheel, reflecting the line's future shared corridor with L1 (the Red Line)..

At HaTurim, L3 connects to the L1 as well as the Jerusalem central bus station and the International Convention Center.Stub, Zev. "Jerusalem Light Rail unveils largest extension in 15 years, with new 'Green Line'", The Times of Israel, August 21, 2026. Accessed August 23, 2026. "The Jerusalem Light Rail celebrated its largest-ever extension on Friday, connecting the Malha neighborhood in the southern part of the capital to the city center. The new L3 route extends roughly 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) and includes 13 stations.... L3 passes through Pat and Givat Mordechai neighborhoods as well as Hebrew University's Givat Ram campus, offering views of the Botanical Gardens and the Gazelle Park along the way.""History in Jerusalem: Israel's First Light Rail Network is Here", Municipality of Jerusalem, August 19, 2026. Accessed August 23, 2026. "The L3 line extends approximately 7 kilometers and includes 13 stations, 12 of which are new. The line that connects the HaTurim area with Malha joins L1 (the Red Line), which connects Neve Ya'akov with Hadassah Ein Kerem. Together, the two lines create Israel's first urban light rail network, enabling transfers between the lines and seamless connections to Jerusalem's main centers of activity.... The L3 line connects to the Red Line at two interchange points: HaTurim Station and the area of the Central Bus Station and the ICC. The connection of the lines creates a single network and also enables convenient transfers to Israel Railways and the bus lines."

The route, with 13 stations, begins at Malha (Manahat), near the Jerusalem Malha railway station and Malha Mall, and runs north through Pat and Givat Mordechai and across the Hebrew University's Givat Ram campus, passing the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens and the Gazelle Valley, before terminating at HaTurim.

The line is planned to extend north to the Hebrew University's Mount Scopus campus in 2027, running along the existing Red Line alignment past French Hill before rejoining Green Line infrastructure.
