The 2026 World Skate Games will be the 5th edition of the World Skate Games, and will be held in Asunción, Paraguay, from 2 to 18 October 2026. It is the second time the games take place in South America after the 2022 games, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Games will feature 12 sports, one e-sport and 40 disciplines, with 154 world titles to be awarded. Over 6,000 athletes from 91 different nations are expected to take part of the games.
Opening ceremony The opening ceremony took place on 2 October 2026 at Arena COP and featured performances from multiple Paraguayan artists Elías Glz, Mauri Román, Karim Manzur, Maxi Bonnin, Bruno Méndez, Ibuki Aran, Drago Mondragón, Guttyrbs, DJ OcO, Emma Sofía, Yamila Ruiz, Aleshit, El Princi, Avakuete, Jazmín del Paraguay, and Oudi The Kidd, accompanied by the Paraguayan National Symphony Orchestra.
During the ceremony, the games presented its official anthem for the first time and unveiled the design for the medals, inspired by the Galoperas, a Paraguayan tradition involving "women who dance and spin with grace and balance".
