Discoverytrema is a genus of trematodes in the family Opecoelidae. K. Zdzitowiecki described both species of Discoverytrema as being endoparasitic in the Antarctic gadiform fish Muraenolepis microps Lönnberg, 1905,Lönnberg, A. J. E. (1905). The fishes of the Swedish South Polar Expedition. Wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse der Schwedischen Südpolar-Expedition 1901–1903, 5(6), 1–72. which are found to the south of the British South Georgia Island.
