Its source is at an elevation of at in the Bobcat Hills. Note the current (6/28/2016) GNIS 3516 entry for Coyote Wash is in error on mouth, source and county locations. They should be: mouth , source both in Greenlee County, Arizona. The incorrect current GNIS mouth location is that is actually in Hidalgo County, New Mexico when it is supposed to be in Greenlee County. The incorrect current GNIS source location is in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. The correct locations are plainly to be seen on the existing topographic maps.
