Ophichthus roseus is an eel in the family Ophichthidae (worm/snake eels).Ophichthus roseus at www.fishbase.org. It was described by Shigeho Tanaka in 1917.Tanaka, S., 1917 [ref. 17353] Six new species of Japanese fishes. [See second article with same title, author, date.]. Dobutsugaku Zasshi = Zoological Magazine Tokyo v. 29 (no. 340): 37-40. It is a marine, tropical eel which is known from the western Pacific Ocean.
