Zvíkov is a municipality and village in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.
Zvíkov lies approximately east of České Budějovice and south of Prague.
Etymology The name is derived either from the personal name Zviek, meaning "Zviek's", or from the Old Czech word zviek ('sound').
