De equatorrog (Rostroraja equatorialis) is een vissensoort uit de familie van de Rajidae. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1890 door, "Description of New Speies of Fishes Collected at the Galapagos Islands and along the Coast of the United States of Colomiba, 1887-'88." Proceedings of the United States National Museum, vol. XII, 1889 (Washington, 1890), blz. 149 De soort komt voor in de Stille Oceaan voor de kust van Colombia.
