Temnotrema sculptum is een zee-egel uit de familie Temnopleuridae.
De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd in 1864 als Temnotrema sculptaOnjuiste uitgang; het grammaticaal geslacht van Temnotrema is onzijdig gepubliceerd door Alexander Agassiz. (1864).
