Aethiothemis is een geslacht van libellen (Odonata) uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van dit geslacht is voor het eerst voorgesteld door René Martin in een publicatie uit 1908. Voyage de Feu Leonard Fea dans l'Afrique occidentale.
