Kobrona sota is een vlinder uit de familie van de dikkopjes (Hesperiidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1986 door Michael Parsons., 1986: A New Genus and Twenty-Six New Species of Butterflies (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae, Lycaenidae, Nymphalidae) from Papua New Guinea and Irian Jaya.
