Gargetta acarodes is een vlinder uit de familie Scranciidae. De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld door Alfred Jefferis Turner in een publicatie uit 1903. (1903). .Revision of Australian Lepidoptera - Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales, Volume 28 (1): 42-92, pag. 71. De spanwijdte van deze vlinder bedraagt 28 tot 30 millimeter.
